Watercolor Pencils and Chalk

Apply watercolor pencils to your chalk project for added embellishment. Chalk your design then apply 2 coats of Rustoleum 2X matte sealer spray letting it dry in between coats. Then let this dry completely for an additional 30-45 minutes before applying color.

Color in your areas and then use a fine tip paint brush to pick up a little water. Dab your color areas and watch the watercolor come to life. Depending on your surface, you’ll either see a pastel look or a deep color. Let is sit to dry overnight. If you want a richer color, repeat the coloring + water paint brush technique.

Once you are satisfied with the look, you will need to spray seal with another 2 coats of Rustoleum 2X matte sealer. You can pick this up at any hardware store.
